I am trying to model a trick for my animal companion that would allow it to move other PCs out of danger. I was thinking of using the maneuver(grapple) trick from Animal Archives but I am looking for a better solution with the prepackaged tricks available. In the past I have been forced to push my AC to accomplish this task which is less than ideal in combat.

Does anyone have a better idea?

There is absolutely no solution that will not potentially run afoul of the dreaded Table Variation.

I think maneuver - grapple is probably your best bet, followed by reposition. Note that this will take TWO rounds (both standard actions).

Maybe Trick - move ally aside might work sometimes. But it is arguably too powerful as a single action
