Dueling Grounds – January 24, 2013

Wow! Busy night last week. It was really nice to stop in and see everyone so engaged and everything running so smoothly. Thanks to Brian for keeping things moving along so nicely. Also, a lot of new faces, which is awesome – remember to stop by the forums and join the online portion of the community!
Here are the four tables on offer this week…

At tier 1-2, Blaise will conclude the Quest for Perfection trilogy from Season 3 with Defenders of Nesting Swallow. As the Pathfinders approach the village of Nesting Swallow in the Tian nation of Shokuro, they find it besieged by a gang of tengu bandits. Before their contact in the village will aid them in restoring the Iroran relic that brought them hundreds of miles to the isolated town, the PCs must repulse the attackers, using every ounce of tactical mettle and military strategy they possess to train the villagers, augment their defenses, and ultimately face off against the bandits’ charge. Click here to reserve a spot at Blaise’s table.
At our second table, Adam will be running a table at tier 3-4: In Wrath’s Shadow. In the ruins of Xin-Bakrakhan—seat of power of the Runelord of Wrath—the Pathfinder Society stands on the verge of a great discovery, but first the brave agents exploring the ruins must survive ages-old dangers and contemporary threats to return with the knowledge and wealth they’ve unearthed. Click here to reserve a spot at Adam’s table.
At our third table, Gar will be GMing last year’s Free RPG Day Module, Dawn of the Scarlet Sun. In the ruins of a fallen empire built on the power of sin lies the key to awakening a great evil from a time long gone. The Pathfinder Society isn’t the only organization seeking this potent artifact, however, and the result of failure could mean disaster for the whole of Varisia and beyond. Click here to reserve a spot at Gar’s table.
Finally, Matt will conclude the First Steps trilogy on offer for new characters with part three: A Vision of Betrayal. Remember that while most scenarios have some flexibility in terms of what character levels can play, this one’s only for level 1 characters. Dispatched on an envoy mission overland from Absalom to port city Escadar, you must weather the harsh wilderness of the Isle of Kortos before you can hope to meet with the representative of the elusive gillmen, and only then come face to face with the greatest threat to the Pathfinder Society. Click here to reserve a spot at Mathew’s table.
The action starts promptly at 6:30 pm. All are welcome, from the newest player to the most experienced. We’d love to see you! Don’t forget to reserve a spot to make sure you get to play!

Both Wrath’s Shadow and Dawn of the Scarlet Sun look very player-light at the moment. For the players enrolled in Wrath, would you be interested in joining the Dawn of the Scarlet Sun table instead?
If you run In Wrath’s Shadow at 6-7 I’d be up for that.
I’m showing up prepared to run at either tier or play at an available game.
