Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
This is going to be a short message, as my internet and computer access right now are less than amazing. Over the next two weeks I’ll be putting together a schedule for Spellstorm (March 1-3), and I need to know who is interesting in GMing. We will be having Con Support from Paizo for this, but the flip side of that is I need enough GMs to fill at least 15 tables (I’m planning for 18). Please send me an email if you are interested in being a GM: mergy@ontariopathfinders.com.
Michael will also want to know who is interested in helping him out in putting Gryphcon together, so send him an email if you want to join up with the Guelph crew; unfortunately, these conventions run on the same date so it will be hard for a GM to help with both. His email is michael@ontariopathfinders.com.
Lastly, a few people have come to me personally with some scenario reporting problems. Coming to me is the best thing you can do, because if you tell someone else about it, they’ll just have to tell me anyway. If you have any reporting problems now or in the future, please email me. Over the course of the next month I’m going to try to get as many of these locked down as possible.
I’m looking forward to receiving emails from prospective GMs!

We plan for both to have Con support. The magic number is 15 slots.
Will both conventions have Con Support from Paizo?
Which, if any, do we consider to be “more important”?
I would say that both cons are important for different reasons.
Spellstorm is the big Toronto con, but it has been having some trouble finding its stride as of late. This will be an important year for it, as the main organizer has expressed interest in getting more visitors and hopefully up-sizing in 2014. Having a solid PFS showing will help it grow, and will establish a good RPG presence in Toronto.
Gryphcon is important as it attracts a lot of visitors outside of our core group in Toronto, and it is a place that we’d like to establish more of a PFS presence. By having a good convention showing and making some contacts in the area, we would be planting the seeds for new PFS communities to grow outside of the GTA.
As a sidenote, here is the slot schedule for Gryphcon:
http://www.gryphcon.org/schedule.php
There are 8 slots total, but I certainly don’t expect people to run the midnight-4am slots. We’ll likely be running 6 slots of 3 tables.
I don’t view either convention as more important, and it’s unfortunate we have to split our resources in this way this year.
I’ll be making a forum post about Gryphcon sometime over the next few days, hopefully with a tentative game schedule and other details. I’m aiming to have the game/GM schedule filled out by January 15th. That is two weeks from now!
