Fortune's Blight CoverThis Thursday night, May 24th, at 6:30pm, Pathfinder Society returns to Dueling Grounds with another trio of scenarios.  If you haven’t yet read my post last week about the change to the booking system for Dueling Grounds, then click that link above and give it a quick read-through.  Go ahead, I’ll wait for you.  …  Done?  Good.  To make your life easier, I’ve put a link in this post to the three different events for signup, so you can just click through here to sign up.  Aren’t I a nice guy?

At tier 5-6, George will offer Season 1′s Fortune’s BlightYou’re sent to the wild River Kingdoms to find and kill a green hag who holds the last fragment of a powerful ancient sword called Passion’s Edge, sundered into three pieces a decade ago. Things aren’t as simple as they seem: the last creature to control the fabled sword wants it back at any cost, ghosts of the sword’s past seek revenge for wrongs committed by former wielders of Passion’s Edge, and the Pathfinder Society wants the sword whole again before being returned to Absalom. Madness, murder, and mayhem await you in the River Kingdoms!  Click here to reserve a spot at George’s table.

Rules of the Swift CoverAt tier 3-4, the Enemy We Know saga concludes as Blaise offers part 4: Rules of the SwiftIn the conclusion of the Devil We Know campaign arc, you are called once more to Cassomir, where a mass abduction of the residents of Swift Prison has the entire town in a panic. Venture-Captain Hestia Themis once more partners you with an Aspis agent to see what link the Swift Prison event has to the earlier kidnapping of a Pathfinder agent. You will explore an empty prison, delve the tunnels below, and come face-to-face with the source of Cassomir’s troubles in a vile grotto deep beneath the city.  Click here to reserve a spot at Blaise’s table.

Penumbral Accords CoverAt tier 1-2, Emma makes her GMing debut with the classic Penumbral Accords from Season 2. The daughters of Absalom’s mysterious Blakros family have long been among the most pursued maidens in the Inner Sea. Now the family’s matriarch approaches the Pathfinder Society to help her break a centuries-old pact with the denizens of the Plane of Shadow to save her twin daughters from a life of servitude at the hands of the Onyx Alliance. Heading into the fan-favorite adventuring location of Blakros Museum, the PCs have only a short amount of time to break the Penumbral Accords and solidify the Pathfinder Society’s ties to the powerful Blakroses.  Click here to reserve a spot at Emma’s table.

The action starts at 6:30 pm.  All are welcome, from the newest player to the most experienced. We’d love to see you!

Mergy's MethodsGreetings Pathfinders, this is Mergy’s Methods, a continuing series on character building and system mastery. Wow, you guys all found the comment button at once!

I’m stepping away from the controversial topic of feats; this is for our collective mental health, so you’re all welcome. This week is back to equipment, but to keep me focused I want to look only at some consumables in that excellent book the Pathfinder Society Field Guide. First, let’s talk about consumable items in general.

Tuesday Night PFS @401 Games returns tonight, Tuesday May 15, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. with a pair of offerings from Paizo contributor, Larry Wilhelm.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #3-10: The Immortal Conundrum (PFRPG) PDFOn the first table GM Jason will present The Immortal Conundrum,  from Season 3. “When the Pathfinder Society receives an invitation to a dinner party at the Thuvian Embassy, hosted by the guardian of this year’s six doses of the infamous sun orchid elixir, the Decemvirate sends a team of Pathfinders to represent them and uncover the nature of the event. Can the PCs navigate the complex social landscape of Absalom’s elite and gain access to the mysterious vault known as the Conundrum, or will they face public ridicule or worse in the face of the steepest competition in the Inner Sea?”  The Immortal Conundrum was  written by Canada’s own Larry Wilhelm and will be presented at level 5-9.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #41: The Devil We Know—Part III: Crypt of Fools (PFRPG) PDFOn the other table, I will resume with Devil We Know: Part III, Crypt of Fools – my all-time favorite PFS Scenario. “Another kidnapping spree erupts in Cassomir and the Pathfinder Society sends you to the notorious Swift Prison to interrogate a captured cultist about the recent disappearances. With clues gathered there, you must explore Old Cassomir and find secret locations that lead you to the source of the spree: the long lost Crypt of Fools.” Crypt of Fools was  also written by Larry Wilhelm and will be run for level 3-4.

As always,we welcome all particpants in our PFS game in the So. Ontario Lodge — whether you are an established roleplayer or a total noob. Either way is fine by us. Just register ahead of time (if you can) or show up on the evening of the event (if you can’t). We’ll do our best to get you seated in a game– although priority is always given to those who have pre-registered.
